Invisalign® Braces Harringay

The Haringey Dentist is proud to offer the newest innovations in modern dentistry. These advanced treatments can often provide better results in a shorter timeframe and can be more cost-effective than conventional procedures.

Invisalign® Go is the newest orthodontic treatment system from Align Technology, the company who created the original Invisalign® system. The clear aligner system is combined with the iTero intraoral scanner for an automated chairside patient assessment and a non-invasive orthodontic treatment plan.

Invisalign® Go utilises a series of removable, virtually invisible, clear aligners to straighten your teeth and restore your smile in as little as 3-6 months. The timeframe for treatment depends on several factors such as the complexity of your case and how often you wear your aligners.

The Invisalign® Go system can address simple or complex orthodontic issues such as:

  • Anterior teeth protrusion
  • Crooked or flared teeth
  • Gappy smile
  • Malocclusion or incorrect bite
  • Overlapping or overcrowded teeth
  • Orthodontic relapse
  • Overlapping or overcrowded teeth

Our experienced team of dental professionals at Haringey Dentist can create a treatment plan for you based on your specific dental needs. With the Invisalign® Go system, your dentist can map out the different stages of readjustment, from the initial stages to the expected outcome.

The digital impression our team takes of your teeth and gums will be transformed into a series of up to 20 clear aligners using 3D imaging technology.

Aligners are typically changed weekly, but this depends on your customised treatment plan and your progress. We monitor your progress every 4 weeks.

Invisalign® Go aligners are customised for each patient, providing a comfortable fit. The aligners are removable, enabling you to brush and floss as usual.

Only an Invisalign® Go-accredited dentist is permitted to administer this new orthodontic treatment to patients. If you are ready to transform your smile, please contact The Haringey Dentist on 020 8809 6940 to schedule an Invisalign® Go consultation.

Frequently asked questions:

What is Invisalign® Go?

Invisalign® Go is a fully integrated approach to teeth straightening, and is available as a top only, bottom only or dual treatment depending on your specific case. Your dentist will evaluate your smile and create a personalised digital treatment plan that demonstrates the step-by-step transformation of your smile.

The bespoke, clear Invisalign® Go aligners apply gentle pressure to straighten and move the teeth into the desired position gradually.

What are the aligners made of?

Invisalign® Go aligners are generated using a digital impression of your teeth and gums to ensure they provide a bespoke fit. A patented medical-grade thermoplastic polymer material, known as SmartTrack®, is used to create the clear aligners.

Can the aligners be removed?

The aligners are designed to provide an orthodontic treatment with minimum interference to your daily regime and lifestyle. You may remove the aligners during an important event or for a special occasion. It is also recommended to remove them while eating or during your oral hygiene routine. It is essential to wear the aligners for 20 to 22 hours each day to achieve an optimal outcome.

Will I experience any discomfort?

Invisalign® Go aligners apply constant yet gentle pressure to progressively move your teeth. Some patients may experience slight discomfort shortly after they begin wearing their first aligner or after changing to the next in the series. However, the discomfort is usually temporary and is considered a sign of the treatment’s progress.

How do I clean my aligners?

Use the Invisalign® Cleaning System provided by your dentist in the patient starter kit to clean your aligners. You can also clean them using your toothbrush and a non-abrasive toothpaste. Always rinse your aligners in lukewarm water because hot water can warp the polymer material.

Food residue can stain your aligners so always brush your teeth after eating and before placing them back in our mouth.

How do I replace a broken or lost aligner?

If you lose or break an aligner contact your dentist immediately to ensure you remain on track with your treatment plan.

What happens when my treatment is complete?

Once your treatment is complete and to prevent your teeth from relapsing into their former position, your dentist will recommend you wear a retainer. Vivera® retainers by Invisalign® are almost unnoticeable and are made using the same state-of-the-art technology as the aligners.
